Five Finger Death Punch, often shortened to Death Punch and abbreviated as 5FDP or FFDP, is an American heavy metal band from Las Vegas, Nevada. Formed in 2005, the band's name comes from the kung fu movie The Five Fingers of Death. The band originally consisted of vocalist Ivan Moody, guitarist Zoltan Bathory, guitarist Caleb Andrew Bingham, bassist Matt Snell, and drummer Jeremy Spencer. Bingham was replaced by guitarist Darrell Roberts in 2006, who was then replaced by Jason Hook in 2009. Bassist Matt Snell departed from the band in 2010, and was replaced by Chris Kael in 2011. Five Finger Death Punch's debut album The Way of the Fist was released in 2007, which began achieving rapid success and selling over 500,000 copies each in the United States. The 2009 follow-up album War Is the Answer further increased their popularity,

selling over 1,000,000 copies and got certified platinum by the RIAA, The band's third album, American Capitalist, was released on October 11, 2011 and achieved Gold status within the year. The following 3 albums (Wrong Side Of Heaven Vol 1. and Vol 2., and "Got Your Six") all had been certified gold making 5FDP one of the most successful Heavy Metal bands of the decade. The band has played international music festivals including Mayhem Festival in 2008, 2010 and 2013, and Download Festival in 2009, 2010, 2013, 2015, and 2017. Five Finger Death Punch are the recipients of the Radio Contraband Rock Radio Awards for "Indie Artist of the Year" in 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014. They were also honored with the Radio Contraband Rock Radio Award for Album (American Capitalist) and Song of the Year ("Coming Down") in 2012 and "Video of the Year" for "Wrong Side of Heaven" in 2014.

"Wrong Side of Heaven" is a single by American heavy metal band Five Finger Death Punch from their fourth studio album, The Wrong Side of Heaven and the Righteous Side of Hell, Volume 1, the fourth studio album. It is the third single from the album, and is the nineteenth single overall from the band, which was released on August 11, 2014.

To add to the contributions made by the band through their numerous military concerts, the ensemble wanted to create a music video in order to assist vagrant veterans of the armed forces by publicly portraying the consequences of post-traumatic stress disorder on wounded warriors. Additionally, the group created a "No One Gets Left Behind" jersey to be funded via an Indiegogo crowd funding campaign to assist the organizations mentioned in the video.[4] They also requested that the family and friends of deceased military veterans provide dog tags to assist in the preparation of a memorial wall to accompany the band in late 2014. It is proposed that the wall eventually will be placed in a museum to honor those who served.

Got Your Six is the sixth studio album by American heavy metal band Five Finger Death Punch. It was released on September 4, 2015 on Prospect Park. Got Your Six sold 119,000 units to debut at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. The 114,000 in pure album sales made it the No. 1-selling album of the week and the band's best sales week to date. Got Your Six is also their third consecutive set to debut at No. 2.

In January 2015, the band announced they are to enter studio to write and record a new album due in late 2015. On May 2, 2015, they released the title of the new album as Got Your Six. On May 19, 2015, they released the art work for their new album and announced that the album will be released on August 28, 2015. They launched a preview for their new single titled "Jekyll and Hyde" in a special video message. They also announced the dates of a co-headlining North American Tour with Papa Roach and accompanied by In This Moment as special guests with support from From Ashes to New for the tour, during which they will promote the album. The release date was later moved forward a week to September 4, 2015. Drummer Jeremy Spencer said of the new album in an interview, "I'm digging it, man. It's actually more brutal, with more extreme dynamics. There are some really mellow parts and then some really brutal parts. So we're running the whole gamut of sounds.

The Way of the Fist is the debut studio album by American heavy metal band Five Finger Death Punch, released on July 31, 2007. The album sold 3,800 copies in its first week of release The Way of the Fist made its Billboard 200 debut on August 18, 2007 at No. 199 and peaked at No. 107. It has been certified gold for selling in excess of 500,000 copies as of April 1, 2010.

The band entered Next Level Studios and Complex Studios in Los Angeles, California to record The Way of the Fist. The album was recorded with Stevo "Shotgun" Bruno and Mike Sarkisyan and was mixed by former Machine Head and Soulfly guitarist Logan Mader. Shortly after, they signed a deal with Firm Music, a branch of "The Firm". It was released on July 31, 2007, selling 5,400 copies in its first week of release to debut at No. 199 on the Billboard 200 chart and peaked at No. 107. The album sold an additional 1,400 copies in digital downloads its first week of release.

On May 13, 2008 The Way of the Fist was re-released. The re-release contained three new bonus tracks, "Never Enough", "Stranger than Fiction", and an acoustic version of "The Bleeding". The three songs could also be obtained on the band's website by anyone who had purchased a copy of the original release of the album.
